Go behind the scenes with our Cybergirl of the Year 2016, Gia Ramey-Gay, on the final day of her incredible shoot with photographer Holly Randall. With four amazing sets behind them, Holly and Gia felt confident in their choice to shoot at a local waterfall—that is, until they got there and discovered a large and intimidating nest of bees. “The place was covered in bees,” says Gia, laughing. “You could say that was a little hiccup, but Holly spontaneously decided we’d shoot a Mad Max-inspired look in the junkyard…and a Flamenco-inspired look at the nicest restaurant in La Paz.” No stranger to all eyes on her, Gia posed nude beside a roomful of diners, capping off an adventurous week in Baja with Holly and her crew. If ever a CGOY deserved a round of applause, it’s this one. “I do what I love and try to make a difference,” explains Gia. “Being Cybergirl of the Year has been the biggest honor for me.
